This is how the "Information sciences and technology building" looked early last week....it might look something like this again this sunday with the forecast of a another snow storm

Yesterday was a beautiful day with blue skies and temperature reaching 50 F ....but that was shortlived ....temperature was back to 20s today with an occasional snow shower....

Last weekend was the THON weekend....It's a 48 hour dance marathon to help children and families fight pediatric cancer .....it's a 34 year PennState tradition ..... you can find more information here : http://www.thon.org/whatisthon/index.php

I don't know why I like this picture!!!!

The hills in the background have a whitish tinge.... and a distinct patch of snow can be seen ....wonder how that got formed....maybe a frozen waterfall covered with snow.....or maybe something else.... wonder if people ski there.... maybe not since its not enough snow to go skiing....I am no expert on skiing although i wish to try it someday soon.... whatever that is ....looks good from a distance....

I took this photo on sunday....one thing that struck me about this photo apart from the barren trees is the absolute lack of any human activity....that blue car is the sole trace of any human presence in the vicinity.... well....its winter , who would want to venture out in the cold ....people in state college choose to stay indoors these days

wish i could sit there and relax.... but now is not the time to be outside ....windchill touched -13 deg F tdy....

although it was a bit sunny till afternoon, today was one of the coldest days this winter....windchill was -10 deg F .....this is another view from the west campus....and the main street seen in the picture is called "atherton street".....
